Las Americas (SDQ) Santo Domingo Intl // This is the best airport to fly for the moment, as it has several options to travel to Las Terrenas, such as:

Car rental
There is a very good new road, directly from the international airport of Santo Domingo. Total is approximately 2 hours drive. No security problems, however it is not recommended driving in the dark by problems of traffic signs, marking and signaling incomplete road without streetlights, dangerous curves, vehicles driving without lights and animals crossing the road . Using a 4X4 vehicle, though more comfortable, it is not necessary unless once arrived at the plan to visit on the peninsula of Samana and / or isolated areas and remote beaches normal routes.

How to get
· At the airport exit to the main road turn left towards Santo Domingo City.
· After about 400 meters take the exit on the right towards "SAMANA". Find a green and white sign just after the toll booth (there you just passes without paying).
· Important: Be sure not to miss this out! Otherwise you will have to drive 30 km to the city and return as there is no possibility of a U-turn
· Continue along this road (off the main highway) for approx. 1 Km., Until you see the entrance to the Samana highway on your right.
· Between Samana road and continue about 1 hour (70 miles / 110 km.). A total of three tollbooths intersect. Total cost of RD $ 350 / US $ 10
· At the end of the motorway turn right towards Samana.
· Continue on the Samana road for about 5 km to the fourth toll (US $ 12).
· Just after the toll turn left towards Airport El Catey and Las Terrenas / El Limon.
· Shortly after the road is divided into Y. Keep right direction Las Terrenas / El Limon. (NOT enter the airport).
· Continue on the road for about 15 Km and arrive in Las Terrenas
· Arriving in Las Terrenas, at the first intersection, continuing right follow the street that brings you. El Limon is 14 Km. On this street.

By taxi
A taxi from the airport at a cost of US $ 195 (one way). If you prefer, we can make arrangements for you from the hotel. To do this we need your flight details and a final confirmation 1 day before arrival: PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE A TAXI EMPTY AT THE AIRPORT because you will be charged the full rate.

By bus
The national company Caribe Tours has 4 connections per day (cost of US $ 9 p / pers). The buses are comfortable and air-conditioned. Departure is from the city center, but also make a stop at the entrance of the "Samana highway", 5 minutes by taxi from the airport. They must reach Sanchez. From Sanchez they will have to take a taxi to Limon. (US $ 40)

Local shuttle buses (transport El Limon / Las Terrenas) provide very good services and have the advantage that arrive directly in the center of the village of El Limon-Las Terrenas. International El Catey Samana (AZS)
Recently opened would be the first choice because of its proximity and will be the future of tourism in Samana. Puerto Plata (POP) / Santiago (STI)
